The foundational activities of the Markvartic family in North Bohemia in the context of 13th century Central European architecture
Panošková, Tereza ; Macek, Petr (advisor) ; Kubík, Viktor (referee)
My diploma thesis is focused on the foundational activities of the Markvartic family which is one of the most prominent families in Northern Bohemia of its time. In terms of the investigated area and period, the diploma thesis is a continuation of the author's bachelor thesis which was focused on the foundational activities of the House of Wartenberg which had a common ancestor with the Markvartic family. The work's focus is the evaluation of relics of preserved buildings in historical and cultural context, where their original feature was changed by later building measures. Every object will be described and analyzed using secondary literature, material and literary sources. The result of this method will be a short synthesis including the outline buildings stages of objects and their style evaluation. This method will be applied on the background of historical contexts, which represent connections of the Markvartics and royal court and the Cisterciensis, Dominicans and Johanites Order.
Musical Life in Česká Lípa Region After 1945
Bendová, Eliška ; Valášek, Marek (advisor) ; Stříteská, Leona (referee)
Česká Lípa is a district seat located in the Liberec region. It had served as an important traffic junction since the Middle Ages because of its situation near the German and Polish borders. Thus, cultural customs and traditions of neighbouring countries and especially of the German majority had played a significant role in cultural events in the town and its surroundings. After both the World War I and the World War II, old residents and also new incomers endeavoured to re-establish or build a new background for the town's social life. Despite the fact that the majority of the post-war period was affected by the communist regime, the citizens set up clubs, organized competitions or festivals and by doing so, in many cases, they unknowingly built traditions that have been preserved till present days and are living inspiration for new generations of Česká Lípa inhabitants. Both the work of our ancestors and their legacy is extremely valuable cultural heritage. Due to the limited range of the diploma thesis and the author's specialization, this thesis focuses particularly on musical institutes and choirs in the region Česká Lípa. Unfortunately, the extant materials do not cover all musical activities, ensembles, personalities and events related to them since the World War II. It is worth mentioning...
The role of the Vartenberg-dynasty in the beginning of the history of the town Stráž pod Ralskem
Panošková, Tereza ; Scholz, Stefan (advisor) ; Šmied, Miroslav (referee)
The region of Ceskolipsko, during the early medieval period, is one of the least described in historical texts. But there were influential trade routes here too, so castles were built along them. These castles were built by the House of Vartenberk which was one of the most prominent royal houses of this period. Nevertheless, current literature does not provide a comprehensive depiction of their influence and the information provided conflicts itself. This work focuses on landmarks in the town Straz pod Ralskem which is tightly related to the House of Vartenberk. This includes the Vartenberk Castle, St. Zikmund Church and marginally also the Ralsko Castle. These are described from the historical, art historical and architectural point of view in detail. The source of information contradiction about this period is the nonexistence of foundation charters. Information for this work was obtained through a critical comparison of primary sources. The goal of this work is to create a comprehensive depiction of individual landmarks by collecting all available information.

Analysis of terestrical associations of lichens in lichen pine forests (biotope L8.1A) in northern Bohemia
Němcová, Veronika ; Kocourková, Jana (advisor) ; Zemanová, Lucie (referee)
The thesis is dealing with biomonitoring of terrestrial lichens occurring in lichen pine forests L8.1A in the Česká Lípa district in northern Bohemia. Altogether, 57 species of terrestrial lichens were recorded based on excerption of historical literature. Field survey managed to find 33 species of terrestrial lichens. We succeed to find six new species for the area of study. Within the categories of endangerment of species have occurred primarily common species (LC), as well as nearly threatened (NT), but also vulnerable species (Cladonia cervicornis, C. ciliata, C. glauca, C. macrophylla, and C. strepsilis). Two species of endangered lichens EN (Cladonia crispata and C. portentosa) were also found. Based on the biodiversity research in 27 plots and comparison of vegetation plots and abundance of species in every plot, diagnostic (Dg) and dominant (Dm) species were found. Using restricted analysis of the RDA the variability of data is the best explained with relation of species to individual sites. Altitude and pH appeared marginally significant. Using unlimited linear PCA analysis and comparative dendrogram was found, in which plots are most abundant species and the plots of similar species composition. The result of the revision of habitat mapping segments L8.1, subunit L8.1A is finding that many segments should be amended quality and maintained or should be allocated to another habitat. Of the 55 segments the only one segment was correctly evaluated. Based on the habitat mapping in terms of coverage E0 was discovered 8 emblematic sites subunit L8.1A.
